Most of the subtitling of Hindi (India) movies are done through the window of English. Very few subtitle works are done from the original Indian languages. Translators while subtitling through English often encounter problems which are related to the ignorance of cultural background of India. This article attempts to give a glimpse of such problems and their solution.
