Das Vermögen der Subfonds wird nach dem Grundsatz der Risikostreuung in Wertpapieren und anderen Anlagen angelegt.
Die Besonderheiten der jeweiligen Anlagepolitik der einzelnen Subfonds werden nachfolgend behandelt.
Wandel- und Optionsanleihen
Sämtliche Subfonds dürfen, falls nichts anderes in ihrer Anlagepolitik vorgesehen ist, bis zu 25% ihres Gesamtvermögens in Wandelobligationen, Wandelnoten und Optionsanleihen investieren.
Verwendung von Derivaten
Sämtliche Subfonds können neben Direktanlagen Options und Termingeschäfte sowie Tauschgeschäfte (Zinsswaps, Total-Return-Swaps) sowohl zu Absicherungszwecken als auch in Hinblick auf die effiziente Verwaltung des Portefeuilles tätigen, soweit die in dem vollständigen Verkaufsprospekt aufgeführten Anlagebegrenzungen in gebührender Weise berücksichtigt werden.
Ausserdem können die Subfonds durch den Einsatz von Devisentermin- und -tauschgeschäften ihre Währungsexposures aktiv verwalten.
Techniken und Instrumente zur Verwaltung von Kreditrisiken
In Übereinstimmung mit den im vollständigen Verkaufsprospekt aufgeführten Anlagebegrenzungen kann die Verwaltungsgesellschaft für jeden Subfonds auch Wertpapiere (Credit-Linked-Notes) sowie Techniken und Instrumente (Credit-Default-Swaps) zur Verwaltung von Kreditrisiken einsetzen.
Flüssige Mittel
Die Subfonds können akzessorisch flüssige Mittel in Form von Sicht- und Festgeldern bei erstklassigen Finanzinstituten und Geldmarktanlagen ohne Wertpapiercharakter, deren Laufzeit zwölf Monate nicht übersteigt, in allen konvertierbaren Währungen halten.
Ferner darf jeder Subfonds ebenfalls akzessorisch Anteile von Organismen für gemeinsame Anlagen in Wertpapieren, die gemäss der Richtlinie 85/611 EWG zugelassen sind, halten, die selbst in kurzfristige Festgelder und Geldmarktanlagen investieren, und deren Renditen mit den Renditen von Direktanlagen in Festgeldern und Geldmarktanlagen vergleichbar sind. Solche Anlagen dürfen zusammen mit eventuellen Anlagen in anderen Organismen für gemeinsame Anlagen in Wertpapieren und/oder anderen Organismen für gemeinsame Anlagen 10% des Nettovermögens eines Subfonds nicht übersteigen.
Die flüssigen Mittel der Subfonds sind in der Regel in derjenigen Währung zu halten, welche als Referenzwährung der einzelnen Subfonds angegeben ist. Entsprechend der für den einzelnen Subfonds gültigen Anlagepolitik kann aber die Verwaltungsgesellschaft weitere Währungen bestimmen, in denen ein Subfonds Anlagen tätigen darf.

O património dos subfundos é investido em valores mobiliários e noutros investimentos segundo o princípio de repartição de riscos.
Serão descritas, de seguida, as especificidades da política de investimento de cada um dos subfundos.
Obrigações convertíveis e obrigações com warrant
Salvo indicação em contrário constante na sua política de investimento, poder-se-á investir em obrigações convertíveis, notas promissórias e obrigações com warrant até 25% do património total dos subfundos.
Utilização de instrumentos derivados
Todos os subfundos, além de investimentos directos, podem realizar opções e futuros, bem como operações de troca (swaps sobre taxas de juro, total-return-swaps), quer com fins de cobertura, quer com vista à gestão eficaz da carteira, tendo sempre em devida consideração as restrições ao investimento mencionadas no Prospecto de Venda completo.
Além disso, os subfundos podem gerir activamente a sua exposição a riscos de câmbio, utilizando operações a prazo em divisas e operações de troca em divisas.
Técnicas e instrumentos de gestão de riscos de crédito
Em conformidade com as restrições ao investimento contempladas no Prospecto de Venda completo, a Sociedade Gestora pode utilizar também para cada subfundo valores mobiliários (credit-linked-notes), técnicas e instrumentos (credit-default-swaps) para gerir os riscos de crédito.
Disponibilidades
Paralelamente, os subfundos podem deter em todas as moedas convertíveis disponibilidades sob a forma de depósitos à vista e a prazo em entidades financeiras de primeira categoria, e de investimentos do mercado monetário que não tenham carácter de valores mobiliários e cujo vencimento não seja superior a doze meses.
Cada subfundo, pode também em conformidade com a Directiva 85/611CEE, deter Unidades de Participação complementares de organismos de investimento colectivo em valores mobiliários autorizados, que, por seu lado, invistam em depósitos a curto prazo e realizem investimentos no mercado monetário com rendimentos comparáveis aos de investimentos directos em depósitos a prazo e investimentos no mercado monetário. Estes investimentos, a par de eventuais investimentos noutros organismos de investimento colectivo em valores mobiliários e/ou outros organismos de investimento colectivo, não poderão ultrapassar 10% do valor patrimonial líquido de cada subfundo.
Por regra, as disponibilidades dos subfundos manter-se-ão nas moedas indicadas como moeda de referência para cada um dos subfundos. Contudo, de acordo com a política de investimento válida para cada um dos subfundos, a Sociedade Gestora pode determinar outras moedas nas quais os subfundos podem ser investidos.
