I am an English native speaker and bilingual in Finnish. I have lived and worked in Finland and Mexico (where I discovered a natural love for Spanish), as well as studied in French-speaking Switzerland.

After reading French and Italian at the University of Kent, UK, I completed a master's degree in Translation and Professional Language Skills from the University of Bath, UK. My source languages of focus were French and Spanish and I spent part of the degree working as an intern with the English language section of the United Nations in Geneva. There, I gained invaluable experience in translation, proofreading and writing summary records of official UN meetings.

I have been working as a freelance translator, proofreader and editor for clients from all over the world for more than three years and continue to build upon these strong relationships. Of course, I am always happy to receive new clients and am look to build my professional network.

I only translate into English as I consider it to be my true mother tongue and am not willing to produce translations of anything less than native standard.

I work with Trados 2007 so I am able to accept all standard translation file types. I am comfortable working with longer projects (10,000+), but gladly take on shorter texts of any length.
