Welcome to my profile!

I am a freelance translator and technical writer, currently on the lookout for exciting assignments.

I worked for six years in an engineering/consulting firm; as the only francophone staff member, I was frequently called upon to translate a variety of documents into French, such as engineering business proposals, scientific/technical documentation, meteorological synopses, etc.

I am a native Canadian French speaker; additionally, I am fully bilingual in English as my university studies were in that language.

I hold a Master's degree in information science, as well as an undergraduate degree in physics, both from McGill University.

I have a love for the written word, and am known to obsess over exact terminology, idiomatic expressions, and colloquialisms. I am an avid reader of both English and French, and I am never far from a well-stocked reference library. Over the years, I have acquired an extensive bilingual vocabulary spanning many fields of knowledge.

Specialties of mine include the following: science, engineering, meteorology, finance, and general translation.
