I am a trained scientist with extensive experience in the academic realm. I have been a freelance translator for life sciences subjects from early on in my scientific career, and have always been actively translating scientific and general texts. I also have practical experience with international organizations, where my language abilities were an important component in the fulfillment of my duties.

Born in Peru, I was raised in Brazil and have subsequently lived in Peru (1981-1995), the UK (1995-1996) and Canada (1997-present). My early schooling was multilingual (Portuguese, English, Spanish and French), whereas my higher education was in the Spanish (undergraduate degree) and English (postgraduate degrees) languages. This life experience has allowed me to develop my language abilities in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
