I am an American who lived in Israel for ten years. I worked and lived in a working class neighborhood. I taught swimming and was a mail carrier in Israel. This past year, I taught Hebrew in a private day school. I have been teaching on and off at the Berlitz Language School for over eleven years. Last summer, I took a Hebrew instructional course on the graduate level where I studied the latest pedagogical methods for teaching Hebrew. Most of the students and all of the students were native Israelis.
