Hi, could anyone tell me in detail how a translation company is organized? I mean personnel, funcitions, responsabilities, work process, etc.
thanks!

Why? Aug 20, 2007

Perhaps if you explain why you need to know, someone can give you more specific information. There's more than one business model, so to try and answer your question in its present form would be a bit difficult, not to mention time-consuming, trying to cover all the bases.

I am trying to understand how a middle size translation and localization company works. What are the tasks for each of the people working directly or inderectly for that company, how does the process of a translation service is carried out, who is in charge of what, etc.

Thanks
Sandro

Your best bet ... Aug 21, 2007

... would be to use the directory on this site, starting with Brazil or the other country/countries you are interested in, and start looking at the websites of some agencies.

Many of them have a section dealing with their procedures, organisational structure etc - and you could best form your own opinion from reading about what they say about themselves.
