Hi all,
Sorry for posting here in English, but I just wanted to let you know that the English to Turkish contest has moved into the Finals phase.
You can now help choose the winners by voting for your favorite entries (you can vote for first, second and third place). So, which entries do you think have a chance and which do not? Vote here!
If you have a friend or colleague who works in this pair, you can help ensure a winner is chosen by inviting them to vote.
Regards,
Tatiana

I already had my horrible experience with this concept in an earlier edition and thankfully I am nowadays wise enough to know not to participate ever again. May I suggest that if you are willing to hold translation contests in the future, could you at least have some kind of jury comprised of seasoned translators or something so that the results make some kind of sense, rather than looking like the winners are determined completely at random? Unfortunately, the only vote available in this language pair for those who know anything about translation is "I feel that none of these entries are good enough to be declared the winner," and had this been a proper contest where the entries are jugded by somewhat competent people, none of these entries could so much as recieve an "honourable mention" let alone being awarded a prize. ▲ Collapse
