French term

repérage spatial

French to English Other Education / Pedagogy Childrens toys / general
This is the name of an educational children's toy. The name doesn't come in any other sentences, except the title, however I have added details of the toy's functions. I don't think it's the same as spatial awareness (perception spatial), although this is a possibility.

Many thanks,
David
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): cc in nyc

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Just seen that you'd already thought about S A. Seems ok to me.
Peer comment(s):

agree Colin Morley (X) : I think you've answered your own question with the details - helps with recognition of colours, understanding of dimensions etc - therefore spatial awareness would seem fine here.

space tracking

just a suggestion

The United States Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is developing a Space Tracking and Surveillance System (STSS) which it will use to research the space-based detection and tracking of ballistic missiles. Data from STSS satellites could allow interceptors to engage incoming missiles earlier in flight than would be possible with other missile detection systems.[1] The STSS program began in 2001, when the "SBIRS Low" program was transferred to MDA from the United States Air Force.[2]

The Space Tracking and Surveillance System (STSS) will consist of low-orbiting infrared satellites designed to detect and track ballistic missiles in all stages of flight. Data from STSS will allow U.S. interceptors to engage enemy missiles as early as possible in their trajectories and discriminate between warheads and decoys.

neutral B D Finch : Sounds like an idea for someone who really can't stand their kids, but still wants to keep tabs on where they are (just in case they return).

Spatial relations games / Spatial reasoning games

These are a couple of ideas for expressing the purpose of these games.

Example sentence:

"In the Spatial Reasoning course, your child learns to mentally manipulate objects and environments in space."

"Spatial Relations Games: ... In the Spatial Relations course, your child learns to describe objects in absolute terms (e.g. north, south) as well as relative terms (e.g. in front of, behind)."
