Arabic term

حفظه كرج المي

Arabic to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
this is a syrian proverb said when someone want to say that he learnt something by heart.
Do you have any other suggestions? can I say: he memorized it as rapid as water flows?

thanks in advance.

He memorized it like his own name

Firas, your explanation is correct in a Syrian slang context, however you need to emphasize the speed of recalling the information without making any mistakes in the process.

He knows it like the back of his hand

To know something like the back of your hand is to be extremely familiar with it.
