English to French Medical Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-)

I know this has been the object of a kudoz before. However I'm working on a project and I feel "Au chevet du patient" is a bit restrictive. The link below comes from a name and brand that has been around for a long time for this type of testing, their terminology is different: "diagnostic sur le lieu d’intervention". Should we prefer one or the other or something else altogether. Is there an acronym for this?
