French term

fragilité terrain

French to English Medical Medical (general) patient report
Hello colleagues!

This regards a patient who is experiencing a relapse of AML. He arrived in the ER with anemia and thrombocytopenia. Since his arrival he has spiked a fever and his O2 saturation dropped to 85%.

Here is the sentence in question, plus the preceding and subsequent sentences:

Au total fievre point de départ pulmonaire très probablement associée au soin
Début TTT Tazo Amiklin du fait fragilité terrain + caractère associé aux soins
Pas de transfusion ce soir du fait contexte septique.

I'd love your opinions. Thanks!

Amikacin should be part of an empiric antibiotic regimen for the therapy of suspected sepsis in febrile, leukopenic immunocompromised hosts since it exhibits enhanced activity against the organisms most frequently encountered in this patient population. High response rates have been reported with the use of amikacin .

Ah yes - immunocompromised! Thanks so much Dr Manu!

neutral philgoddard : But what does terrain mean?//I don't understand. Terrain to me means ground or land. Your second reference has an invalid link, but looks like it may be a translation.
