In the 2005 grand final, a brilliant behind-the-back pass to Pat Richards by which player set up a Tigers try?

It is Rugby sport. The team they are talking about is Wests Tigers.

In this specific case it looks like a quiz question and they're asking who passed the ball behind his back to allow Pat Richards to ground the ball over the line and thus score a try.

agree philgoddard : http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Try_(rugby) - so called because it gives you a try at kicking a goal and scoring more points.

thanks for agree Phil but we're only at the try score stage in this and not yet at the conversion kick through the posts for more points stage
agree Petrus Maritz : you have the try scorer, and the one whose action(s) led to the try, ie made it happen

thanks Petrus and must have been a cute move
agree Jennifer Levey : And if it had been a soccer match, it would have been an 'assist' (= last pass before a goal) - http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/Stats_Manuals/Soccer/2009ez.pd...

Here's a link to the try in question

It's the pass from the no.6 that sets up (facilitates) the try for the no.5.
