Catalyst in an alkylation process
Another one, it is about a catalyst used in an alkylation process. Here's the sentence:
As is well known in the art, silicalite, which in the *assynthesized* form is characterixed by orthorhombic symmetry, can be converted to monoclinic symmetry by a calcination procedure...
I can't find a German word for this, at least not with the obvious terms (assynthetisiert etc.). Looking for the English word only results in American sites without an explanation.
I think it might mean that the catalyst silicalite is synthesized into an assymetric form but I've got no proof for that.

"assynthesized" should read "as-synthesized" and means that it hasn't been modified/changed/processed in any way since synthesis, i.e. 'still as it was on synthesis'
