The PPR is responsible for the clearing of the **freight accrual accounts** and in case open items left to investigate them.
The PPR carries out the clearing by using the transaction F.13 “Automatic Clearing without Definition of Clearing Currency" to clear freight forwarded payments against accruals. Clearing is carried out weekly to maintain the transparency of the accounts.
At each quarter end, the PPR checks the open item report using FBL3N "Open Item Report" and looks for unreleased freight accruals older than 180 days.
