Sweet Clover
Sweet clover (lat: Melilotus officinalis) belongs to the family of *butterfly-blossoms* and is also known as ‘honey clover’. The approx. 1.5m high plant is often found around the edges of woods and fields. Its yellow blossoms give off a honey resembling scent. Flavonoids and saponines (anti microbiotic effects) are its main ingredients. Flavonoids have a high antioxidant potential and are capable of catching highly dangerous reactions – as caused by UV rays - and turning them more benevolent before the cell is damaged. This power is strengthened by the synergies with vitamin C and E.
