matričný úrad
There is no 100% equivalent.
First, there is no Ministry od Health Planning in Slovakia, there is just the Ministry of Health (has a wider range of functions etc.)
Second, Bureau/Division of vital statistics is very close to Slovak "matrika" or "matričný úrad". It is not part of the Ministry, it comes under the local/municipal government (usually part of the "obecný/mestský úrad")
For differences between matričný úrad and bureau of vital statistics, see the links at http://www.proz.com/kudoz/841986 (this is for CR, but it is almost the same in SR)

: Marek, to je fakt 100 % ekvivalent neexistuje. Otazka je ; Ministry of Health ...Kazde ministerstvo sa organizacne clenni na ... kde su aj statisticke udaje. To ovsem nama nic spolocne so stat. uradom. Ten je osamostatneny a patri pod ine ministerstvo.

This is the only similar institution in the Slovak health care system. It is called in English Insitute of health information and statistics. It is a part of the health care system but it is not department of the Ministry
