teaching assistant (see rest below)

**normalienne** means that she is working at an École Normale Supérieure, which is a training college for University teachers and researchers but it's often left in French.
Hope it's of some use. Good luck!

Pre-Doctoral/Graduate(Teaching) Assistant

There are lots of French CVs where someone is an AMN for 3-4 years prior to obtaining their doctorate. Could look at it in terms of some teaching/tutoring (and perhaps some research assistance)linked to work/specialisms of their supervisor.

The 2004 Petit Larousse has this as its 2nd defintion for moniteur/trice:

"Doctorant bénéficiant, en plus d'une allocation de recherche, d'une rémuneration en échange de laquelle il assure en université et sous la responsabilité d'un tuteur un certain nombre d'heures d'enseignement"
