German term

Duldungspflichten

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Sewage/Wastewater Use Contract
"3.3 Auskunftsrechte, Informations- und Duldungspflichten".

From a contract between two companies whereby one company allows the other to use its sewers or whatever to dispose of its wastewater.

I can't make head or tail of "Duldungspflichten". The "Duldung" part just doesn't seem to fit with the "Auskunft" and "Information". The section seems to be about one company allowing or providing information to the other. TIA for any light you can shed on "Duldungspflichten".

3 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Sorry for taking so long to grade this. The problem was, I couldn't make up my mind, because none of the answers were overwhelmingly convincing, yet none of them (save maybe the "easements by necessity" suggestion) could be completely ruled out either. I ended up using "tolerance obligations". Whether this is any good or not, I still don't know, but I haven't had any complaints about it, so hopefully it passed muster. Anyway, thanks to those who offered suggestions for this extremely difficuly word. Appreciate your assistance. Apologies again for the length of time it's taken me to grade this."

Duties of forbearance

Have you already searched the KudoZ glossaries before asking the question?

Duties of waiver is also possible, but waiver is usually an option, not an obligation.
Note from asker:
Yes Tom, I did look it up, but I didn't find anything. Mind you, I only searched for "Duldung", I think, forgetting that with the default "Search whole words" option activated, I'd only find stuff with "Duldung" and not "Duldungspflicht". All the same, I think it's been worth asking about again, because the solution in the other question is not overwhelmingly conclusive.
Peer comment(s):

agree Michael Walker : "Duty of acquiescence" might sound slightly better (in light of the context)

Thanks. I noticed the acquiescence in the KudoZ entry, though is still an odd match for duty of info.

easements by necessity

exists by law when there is no other way to dispose of the sewage. The servient tenement (owner of the pipe) may be entitled to some compensation.

There also are easements by grant, by prescription, by implication and by condemnation, but here, easement by necessity appears most likely.

Right to be served with notifications, notices, and the granting of easements by necessity
Peer comment(s):

disagree Michael Walker : The questioner says this is a clause pertaining to duties of information; I think this is off the mark.
