Dear Raffaella, The frases "registrazione e incisione" and "incisione e registrazione" are mentioned in Italian websites.
Here is an example: "sala di incisione e registrazione".

Perhaps these are differnet recording techniques? What do you think?

maybe in your case could be then live recording room (which is what single rooms are called inside the studio).

I think with studio di registrazione they refer to the overall facility while sala di incisione refers to each single recording room inside this studio. Take a look to this site http://www.bips.it/

"Azienda che offre servizi di sala di incisione, studio di registrazione e studio fotografico".

Have found several sentences that are similar to this one in Italian websites. Therefore I think that "regisrtrazione" and "incisione" are not the same action.

There is no difference. Incisione is synonym of recording. That is what I know :)

What is the difference between "studio di registrazione" and "sala di incisione"?
