Une bobine d’enclenchement à émission

French to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng
This item appears in a list, I am afraid I have little more context.

XXX emission switching coil OR switching coil for XXX swiching.
Thermal power plant: switching coil can be "bobine d'enclenchement" (IEC) - So why not: emission switching coil
chris collister Feb 26, 2011:
This could be almost anything. A "bobine" doesn't have to be an iron-cored solenoid, but can equally well be a small radio frequency coil. "A émission" seems to imply that the coil either generates or receives an electromagnetic signal resulting in, or from, the "enclenchement". Without more context, you (and we) will never know....

Context? Yes, but what is your document about? What are the other items on the list?

a emission switching coil

Sometimes used in thermal power plants.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Tony M : I really have the gravest doubts about this; even without context, it doesn't appear that this is 'a coil for switching emission' (NB: it's "à émission"), and also a coil per se can't really do any switching as such

A switching-on coil for emission

Just an idea. By the way, is this about railways or so?
