Finnish term

kutsu

Finnish to English Medical Medical: Health Care
"Päijät-Hämeen keskussairaala KUTSU

Teille on varattu seuraavat ajat Päijät-Hämeen keskussairaalan kirurgian poliklinikalle."

Invitation eikä summons oikein käy, mutta siihen se sanavarasto sitten tyrehtyikin.

notice

In this context, kutsu might be translated simply as notice and the text could read, "The following appointments have been made for you at..." "Varata aika" translates roughly into making an appointment.

agree JonathanBrown : I agree with (medical) appointment. Spencer: However "ajanvaraus" should IMHO be translated as "appointment" in nearly all cases, so I'd be inclined to say that there *is* a nearly 1-to-1 term for appointment in Finnish..

You're right! "Notification" would be more accurate.
agree Setti Mulari : It's an appointment - I asked around the office and 3 native speakers around me also agree.
