snap-off blade knife
This is a kind of utility knife. When one blade becomes dull, you just snap it off and start using the next one.
Langenscheidt Technik has Abbrechklingenmesser and explains: mit sehr scharfen, abbrechbaren Klingen.

box cutter
Could this be the infamous box cutter (hijacker's tool)?
I'm not sure, but it sounds like it might be.

Stanley knife
as a British usage - personally, I'd never heard of a box cutter until today. Well, that makes this job so fascinating - never a day goes by, but you learn something new....

: Well a Stanley knife - British usage - is what Yanks call box cutters or utility knives. But an Abbrechmesser is a snap-off blade knife. See pictures above. http://www.macek-ag.ch/products/prodge-k8.html
