I am translating some scripts for university lectures, and one of them is about B. Madoff's snowball system. The script says Madoff had a marketing slogan which read "Buddy wirbt Buddy" . What was it in English? I just can't find it on Google.

Buddy does not need translating - the question is, what are you going to use, resp. do you want to use, for wirbt? If you want to be really nasty, "Buddy cons buddy" - but Buddy doesn`t know it!

However, why go looking for translations if the slogan actually existed? After all, this happened in the U.S.; so I suppose there must be an original English version - and that is what I am looking for. |

: I'm with writeaway - this is not a translation query. And it sounds rather odd for a marketing slogan - more like his modus operandi, I'd have thought.
