German term
überzeugend

Finance (general)
"Das vergangene Geschäftsjahr der Spielbank Bern verlief überzeugend."
In the introduction to a financial statement.
I was thinking "has yielded convincing results" but am hoping someone might come up with a better idea.

impressive
... has been an impressive one (or, on the lines of your own suggestion: has yielded impressive results)
would be a word I would consider. I try to avoid "convincing" in senses other than "a convincing argument" (if you speak of "a convincing year", then who has been convinced? and of what?) - and the Germans use überzeugend all over the place, often in situations where "convincing" isn't appropriate.

confident in our view
We are confident in our view that the Berne Casino enjoyed a successful financial year.
The idea is to intimidate the reader into thinking they have been 'convinced'

: (There really isn't enough context.) Why not just say: 'Berne Casino enjoyed a successful financial year."
