German term

abgegeben (in this context)

German to English Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals
In a table summarizing the results of experiments on different pharmaceutical compounds, under the column labeled "Phys./Chem. Aufloesl./HSA/MA", there is sometimes simply "abgegeben" alone or with a date following it. Can anyone tell me what this is?

Just an educated guess.

passed on ??

It's hard to come up with something useful within the limited context. Although Kim's suggestion is definitely a possibility, I'd expect "eingereicht" in that context. And if the results had been submitted (for final verification?), the results could still have been listed as pending.
What came to my mind is that since the testing of different compounds is extremely time and cost-intensive with only small chances of commercial success, some of the compounds might have been passed on to other labs for testing and results are not yet available.

That's what they write when you turn your Protokolheft for the experiment.
