A artroplastia total de quadril é uma técnica cirúrgica que tem por objetivo recuperar as funções de uma articulação defeituosa, com a implantação de próteses para substituir a cabeça do fêmur e o acetábulo. Costuma ser indicada nos casos de artroses dolorosas em grau avançado e de algumas fraturas do colo do fêmur:
