The purpose of ID verification is to see who is who in real life. If no photo ID (ID card, passport, driver's licence) is shown, it is out of my capacity to verify a person.
To make things clear, if you want to have your ID verified, you MUST:
1. Present your photo ID;
2. The name on your photo ID maches the name on your ProZ profile!!
1 is more important than 2 of course. As 2 can be changed later, but 1 can NOT be changed!!

My proposal: a conference release after the POWWOW, accounting briefly what you guys have talked about. This will be a great favour to us, who have been trying so much but failed to show up personally on 29th at the wonderful POWWOW.
An audio/vedio recording of the whole POWWOW in stead of the conference release could be the best!

We need to choose "Will attend" for a confirmation, and some of the colleagues are very nice to choose "Will attend" and put up a note at the same time.
Don't worry about the seats, we'll decide whether to rent a conference room on Sept 26th. And we can start a vote now: 租用会议室的费用分摊后和中发宏的消费水平接近，40-50元之间。其间有个风险：如果有人confirm之后由于某种原因没有到场，到场的人需要多分担费用。这是大家必须考虑的。

my YES vote is given to Elaine Liu's budget proposal -- 40--50 RMB on the per capita basis.
Of course, the less the better.
and it is better for the organizor to briefly account for the per capita budget, if there is no much trouble.
