Note from asker:
Thanks, Floriana. Do you know if there are any specific terms to those words, which is what I'm looking for? Perhaps "força do mar" might have a different term that sailors use. Many thanks.
I'm doing some research myself, and if I don't find any specific terminology, I'll be going with "arrastado pela força do mar". Thanks for your help.
Obrigada!

agree Cgraphic : Yes I agree, must be something along this line, becketed as pinned down or dragged or alike by the forelift... of what? The sea? The surf? I would go for "arrebatado (arrastado) por (a força) (d)o mar" with no further context to help.

Note from asker:
Em inglês: "A device, such as a looped rope, hook and eye, strap, or grommet, used to hold or fasten loose ropes, spars, or oars in position."
Peer comment(s):

agree Cgraphic : yes, the line on the lifeboat is "becketed" as in fastened to the becket (the line wrapped around the boat so people can hang on to while in the water or capsized

Forelift: to raise in front
Forelift: Para levantar para arriba en frente.

- Becket: 1) The metal ring extending from the end of a stationary block by which it is shackled in place. 2) A bight of line with an eye at one end through which the bitter end is passed and knotted so it will not slip through.
