English term
buy-in
English
Bus/Financial
Management
merger
We get early understanding and early buy-in from business units and the corporate people who the targets are, why it makes sense, what kind of benefits we’ll get, and what kinds of hiccups they might be having. When an acquisition is consummated, they’re already fully engaged. They have been asked to think about what they’d do with it if they were to get it.

support (at least morally)
The smallest form of a buy-in is moral support, that is, you wont get resistance/criticism and will be allowed to continue with your initiatives. Biggest buy-in takes the form of financial/logistics and advocacy, i.e., these people will campaign for the project to be launched.

participation, investment (not necessarily financial, particularly in this case)
Sort of along the lines of the quote above re "come to see the goals of an organizational or change effort as their own" they commit themselves to the project, by way of providing analysis or some other form of participation. Just as in the financial sense, it's an investment.
