German term

Übernachbarkanal

German to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Systems, Networks
This is from a press release about digital TV processing systems for home networks. I believe that nachbarkanal means flanking channel, but I have no idea what this means. Here is the full sentence, which unfortunately does not provide much context:

Es gibt jedoch nachbarkanal- und übernachbarkanaltaugliche Varianten.

Any ideas?
Proposed translations (English)

Selected

second-adjacent channel

or
second adjacent channel
adjacent channel for Nachbarkanal is more common than flanking channel
adjacent channel can also be first adjacent channel to emphasize the existence of a second adjacent channel
