I was gaily translating these AGBs thinking it´s all the same old stuff, till I got to this sentence. I have discussed it at length with my German partner, but what she tells me here doesn´t make sense with how I understand business works.
Is there a grammatical error here, or does the sentence make sense? If so what? But it´s really only the passage asked that gives me a problem, the rest is all familiar.

Comment: "Thank you both for trying this. I still think there is something wrong with the source text, but wasn´t able to contact the (end) client for clarification. But I suspect that Kim has identified what is wrong with it: the phrasing of his quote is so similar to that of my source that I believe that brackets were intended around "unerlaubte Handlung" (maybe even with Versicherung in the brackets as well!), which rectifies the grammar and allows a sensible translation."

Actually, I don\'t know whether Volkmar\'s right here. It\'s true that \"unerlaubter Handlung\" can mean \"tort\" in the context of a suit for damages for an accident caused by negligence, but here I think the more basic meaning of \"unauthorized action\" would be more appropriate.

It's not "unerlabute Handlung" per se, it's "eine Handlung die aus ... einem sonstigen Rechtsgrund unerlaubt ist"

So what is "unerlaubte Handlung" doing there? It can´t be the subject, that´s "Der Käufer". It can´t be the object, that´s "die Forderungen". And it can´t be following "aus", it´s not a dative.
