That's no problem loshad. If the owner is offering strategic advice to other companies, he/she first needs to fully assess the current situation (IST) before being able to suggest any strategic direction (SOLL). The IST is where the company is at now (or a project, a particular strategy etc.), and the SOLL is where the company (or the same project, strategy etc.) should be (recommendations, plan) in a measurable amount of time (3 months, 1 year, 5 years etc.)

I'm not very au fait with this type of vocabulary - the website I'm translating is about products for horses, but the owner has taken a new direction and now advises other companies, hence the change in vocabulary!
