I find no reference in my medical dictionary, but Absetzung is a withdrawl. Absetzen means to amputate or remove.

margins
Absetzungsrand refers to the margins of a wound after you resect something, in this case obviously the vagina. It is a general surgical term used in gynecology as well (in German we call them "Operettenchirurgen", snicker).
