German term

H/D

German to English Tech/Engineering Metrology unit of measurement
I am trying to ascertain how to translate H/D as a measurement relating to bottles (for example, containing soft drinks):

"Maße Flasche (H/D) in mm:"
Proposed translations (English)
3 +8 Height/diameter

I've no idea and really no way of knowing. But I can't see what else it could possible be. The manufacturer may use some algorithm to take the tapering of specific bottles into account.
Note from asker:
Would this also be correct if the bottles go in at the waist?
Peer comment(s):

agree Steffen Walter : Very plausible, with the added advantage that "H/D" can be kept in the English version.

agree David Moore (X) : I think this would still be correct with waisted bottles, the dimensions are most likely only for packaging size information.
