Hello everyone,

I'm looking for the original English title of Enid Blyton's "Hanni und Nanni". I know that it is an "Internatsserie"/boarding school story, and so far what I've found which could possible be the right titles is: The Malory Towers series and Claudine at St. Clare's.

St. Clare's

The St. Clare's books were about twins - Pat and Isabel, if memory serves, whereas Malory Towers had just one heroine, so I'm pretty sure it's St. Clare's.

Yes, and wasn't it Darrell in Malory Towers? / My mother didn't believe in the notion of "girl's books" and "boy's books" - didn't do me any harm either. I did try Biggles once, but it was awful, jingoistic nonsense.
agree Stefanie Sendelbach : I wonder why the translator decided to change the names to Hanni and Nanni... Rather rare that the names of the protagonists are "localized", isn't it? Even more so considering that Hanni and Nanni are no typical German girls' names.
