PSTN (public switched telephone network) number
AMT always refers to the PSTN, so it's the number used to call the subscriber from the main network.

main telephone number

extensions
When I have understood correctly, then these are extensions of a main number.

Vorwahl

As Kim rightly pointed out, I have put the wrong target language.
So I'd call it a prefix. One extension for different prefixes (or area codes).

: A dial-in prefix, maybe?

not so much a dial in as a proper area code.

: In the US these are 'area codes' maybe a Brit can tell us, if 'prefix' is used in this sense in England.

That's why I suggested prefix, as this isn't tied to a certain part of the number, such as area code. Maybe they do the same thing one day for country codes too, so large multinationals can have the same telephone number in all countries.

: the 49 is the international dialling code and 69 or 40 the area code
