Forget translation competitions. I suggest a new contest - how many of your threads can you get locked in a short space of time? This week's round of lockings is already a tough act to top, with a single person managing to notch up two so far, and counting.

Although I found the idea behind the latest locked thread fairly pointless, it wasn't actively wicked nor was the discussion surrounding it notably unprofessional or rude. And the chapter and verse citation of the rule(s) presumably violated was missing.
In any case, I think the contest is a marvelous idea. However, in the interests of fairness and to give as many people as possible the opportunity to participate, I suggest tallying monthly scores. I would strongly suggest to consider other means: rational arguments rather than irony. I strongly believe that such rational arguments can be presented well within the site rules, and such discussions are much rather in the site's and the users' best interest than such a top-lock contest would be.
And don't forget: here is the Off topic forum, too, with light topics to relax. Any light-hearted input is warmly welcome here.

I think I might be a contender for "most blocked posts" because quite a few of mine were disapproved for being "off-topic" or violated a site rule even though I said practically the same thing that others later said or had said earlier. Yes, that is a very good observation: an "off" topic in the "Off-topic" forum is usually moved to an "on-topic forum". It is like (-1) x (-1) = (+1) -- but I will be lapidated if I associate the Off-topic forum with "-1".
As for your post: it is on topic about the off topic forum. It strays from the original post, which is probably less of a problem here, as sometimes such little detours add some extra flavor that are in line with the main scope of the OT forum: fun. Understandably, such a practice can be very counterproductive in other forums, focusing on more specific issues.
