Time-Code Spotting Software: Which Tool Do You Use and Recommend?

Hi fellow translators,
Can anybody recommend an easy to use, efficient and open-source (possibly) tool for time-code spotting? I specialize in audiovisual translations and the software I used to use has been unfortunately discontinued. I'm looking for new resources for time-code spotting videos for translation purposes.

Subtitle Edit and Aegisub Feb 5, 2022

Subtitle Edit is probably your best bet, based on your criteria.

Aegisub is the most popular alternative, only drawback is that it can't set the minimum gap and minimum subtitle duration. Maybe you can get these features by using automated scripts. But I have never used one of these, so I can't really give any recommendation.
