Zunächst sollte der Abscheider mit sauberer Hauptphase gefüllt werden, oder mit dem zu trennenden Gemisch im Kreis gefahren werden bis die gewünschte Trennleistung erreicht wird. Nachdem der stationäre Zustand erreicht worden ist und die Phasengrenze auf die gewünschte Position eingerichtet ist, sollte soviel Nebenphase herausgeführt werden wie abgeschieden wird, um den Stand der Phasengrenze konstant zu halten.
4.1. Phasengrenzeinstellung
Der Stand der Phasengrenze im Behälter sollte dem Anteil der Nebenphase im Gemisch entsprechen. Dies kann durch die Justierung der beiden Überlaufrinnen erfolgen. Die Überlaufrinnen sind mit den Stutzen durch ein Gewinde verbunden, wodurch eine Drehung eine Höhenveränderung bewirkt. Die Überlaufrinnen sind für einen Nebenphasenanteil von bis zu 10 % schon werkseitig eingestellt, das heißt die Oberkante der Trichter ragt bei Durchfluss ohne aufschwimmende Öle ca. 5 mm aus dem Flüssigkeitsspiegel.

5. Außerbetriebnahme
Bevor der Zulauf des Flüssigkeitsgemischs unterbrochen wird, sollte eine Phase vollkommen aus dem Abscheider entfernt sein. Dazu kann die Phasengrenze verschoben werden. Um die leichte Phase zu verdrängen wird der Austrittsstutzen geschlossen und die Phasengrenze steigt nach oben. Erreicht die Phasengrenze den Austrittsstutzen der leichten Nebenphase (Überlaufrinnen) wird der Zulauf geschlossen. Nun kann der Abscheider entleert werden.
5.1. Aus - und Einbau der Koaleszensabscheider
Nach der Außerbetriebnahme wird der Behälterdeckel abgenommen. Nun können die einzelnen Koaleszensflächeneinheiten nach oben herausgenommen werden.

5. Non-operational
Before the flow of the liquid mixture is stopped a phase should be completely removed from the Separator. Then the phase limit can be adjusted. To remove the light phase, the exit nozzles will be closed, and then the phase limit will increase. When the phase limit reaches the exit nozzles of the light secondary phase (overflow gutter) the flow will be stopped. The Separator can now be emptied.
5.1. Disassembly and assembly of the Coalescense Separator
When the machine is non-operational then the container top will be removed. Now all the Coalescense surface parts can be removed from above.

1. Allgemeines
Die Baureihe der Koaleszensflächen - Abscheider kann zur Abscheidung einer schweren und, oder leichten Nebenphase sowie Feststoffen aus einer flüssigen Hauptphase verwendet werden. Die Abscheidung der Nebenphase erfolgt unter Gravitations- - und Koaleszenseffekten. Die Anteile, welche mit Emulgatoren oder Stabilisatoren stabilisiert sind können nur zum Teil abgeschieden werden. Der Koaleszensflächen - Abscheider sollte mit einer schonend fördernden Pumpe beschickt werden.
2. Funktionsweise
Das Flüssigkeitsgemisch strömt am Eingangsstutzen ein. Im nachfolgenden Beruhigungsbereich erfolgt eine Reduzierung des Impulses und eine Verteilung des Flüssigkeitsstromes auf den Behälterquerschnitt, erste leichte Nebenphasentropfen werden dadurch abgetrennt, bilden eine homogene Schicht die über die erste Überlaufrinne aus dem Behälter hinausgeführt wird. Anschließend gelangt das Gemisch in den Bereich der Koaleszensflächen. Das Gemisch strömt parallel zwischen den Koaleszensflächen, dabei gelangen die Tropfen der Nebenphase an die Koaleszensflächen und koaleszieren. Eine zusammenhängende Nebenphase bildet sich auf den Koalszensflächen aus, woraus sich periodisch große Tropfen lösen. Die Tropfen steigen auf und formen eine geschlossene homogene Schicht aus, die dann über die zweite Überlaufrinne am Ausgang hinaus geführt werden kann. Die gereinigte Hauptphase fließt frei am Ausgangsstutzen ab.
Feststoffe prallen bei der Durchströmung gegen die Koaleszensflächen, verharren einige Zeit dort und agglomerieren mit weiteren Feststoffpartikeln. Diese Agglomerate lösen sich von den Flächen und sinken in den Spalten zwischen den Koaleszenzflächenreihen zum Behälterboden. Die Anschlußstutzen unter den Koaleszensflächen ermöglichen es diese feststoffreiche Phase aus dem Behälter heraus zuführen.
3. Aufstellung
Der Abscheider sollte quer zur Stömungsrichtung in der Waage stehen. In Längsrichtung kann eine leichte Neigung zur Austrittsseite zugelassen werden. In allen Austrittsleitungen sollen Strömungsbehinderungen vermieden werden. , Da sonst im Behälter die Phasengrenze schwer zu regeln ist.
Bei Rückstau in der Austrittsleitung steigt der Flüssigkeitsstand im Behälter an und die Flüssigkeit strömt aus dem Überlauf der oberhalb vom Austritt der Hauptphase liegt.

Solid particles are ejected with the current and come in contact with the Coalescence surfaces, after a period of time and with other solid particles, an agglomeration process takes place. The agglomerate separates from the surface and falls between the rows of Coalescence surfaces into a container. The connected nozzle under the coalescence surfaces makes it possible to eject the enriched solid phases out of the container.
3. Mounting
The Separator should be mounted sideways to the current in a horizontal position. Lengthwise a light slant in direction of the exit side should be obtained. In all exit pipes a current blockage should be avoided, which could lead to difficulties in controlling the phase limit in the container.
With backpressure in the exit pipes the liquid level raises in the container, the liquid then flows out of the overflow which is positioned above the main phase.
